What you’ll find is that the more science discovers about the origin of the universe, the more it sounds like the opening chapters of Genesis. Whether you find that fascinating, unsettling, or both… the evidence cannot be refuted.

The Universe
Modern cosmology has produced a series of discoveries that, taken together, paint a remarkably specific picture of the universe’s origin and how it was designed.

| 2 Matter Cannot Be Created or Destroyed | ||

Every experiment ever conducted confirms this law without exception. | 3 Explosions Destroy Order — The so-called “Big Bang” Could Not Create Order | ||

| Every explosion in nature and human engineering destroys order and rearranges matter randomly. No exception has ever been found. | The Big Bang, (a falsehood which many scientists lean on), by contrast is widely thought to have produced galaxies, solar systems, DNA, and conscious life. This is an extraordinarily ordered outcome. Scientists themselves state they ‘don’t know who kicked the ball.’ | Explosions don’t produce order, they consume it. If the Big Bang did occur, it could not have produced the breathtaking complexity of our universe. Intelligent intervention is the only consistent explanation. A Timeline of Accidental Confirmations
Each of these discoveries was made independently, by scientists with no theological agenda, and each one confirmed what the Bible described thousands of years earlier. No big bang, but ordered Creation is the only explanation.
1929 Hubble’s Redshift Discovery
Edwin Hubble announces that all galaxies are moving away from us… the universe is expanding. This was so radical that even Einstein rejected it at first, fudging his own equations to maintain his belief in a static universe.
1948 Alpher, Bethe & Gamow — The Origin of Chemical Elements
Published on April 1st (not a joke). They theorized that if microwaves were detected in the universe, the expansion theory would be proven fact. They lacked equipment to test it. Nobody believed them yet.
1964 “Accidental” Discovery of Cosmic Microwaves
Bell Lab scientists Penzias and Wilson kept detecting an irritating background noise from space: Microwaves at 3 degrees above absolute zero. They couldn’t explain it. Then someone pointed them to the 1948 paper. They had just proven the expanding Universe. Nobel Prize awarded.
*Their “big bang” theory (to a certain point) harmonizes with God’s description of Creation.
Isaiah 40:22: “He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in”.
1989 COBE Satellite — “Fingerprints of the Maker”
NASA launches the COBE satellite, which discovers cosmic ripples showing temperature variations in background radiation. Lead scientist George Smoot states: “It’s like looking at God.” Fellow scientist Mather calls the data “fingerprints of the Maker.” Nobel Prize awarded 2006.
2014 First Direct Evidence of Universe Expansion
Astronomers discover the first direct proof of the universe’s astonishing expansion in the fraction of a second following the birth moment of the Universe. Scientists call the implications “staggering.” The birth of the Universe created and stretched space itself, making conventional timeframes irrelevant.
This is a fascinating intersection of ancient scripture and modern cosmology:
“He stretches out the heavens like a canopy”
This is the phrase that most directly aligns with modern science. The universe is not static, it has been continuously expanding since the beginning. Every galaxy is moving away from every other galaxy, like dots on an inflating balloon. The Hebrew word used here (natah) literally means to stretch, extend, or spread out… a remarkably precise description of what we now know the cosmos is actually doing.
“Spreads them out like a tent to live in”
A tent starts small and expands outward as it’s pitched. This metaphor captures the idea of something that begins compressed and then opens up into a vast habitable space. This is essentially the story of the universe from an ultra-dense singularity to the enormous, structured cosmos we inhabit today.
“Circle of the earth”
Written roughly 2,700 years ago, when most cultures assumed the earth was flat, this phrase describes a spherical or circular earth. This aligns with what we now know to be true.
The Bigger Picture
What’s remarkable is that this verse wasn’t written as a scientific text, it’s a poetic declaration of God’s greatness. Yet the imagery it uses, (a sphere, a stretching, an expanding canopy of space), maps surprisingly well onto concepts like the birth of the Universe, cosmic expansion, and the spherical earth that science only confirmed in the modern era.
Whether you view that as coincidence, poetry, or something more, it’s a genuinely striking alignment.
| 4 The Universe Is Impossibly Fine-Tuned for Life | ||

| The four fundamental forces, gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces, were determined within one millionth of a second after the Creation moment. Alter any single value even slightly, and the universe could not exist. | COBE discovered that matter released during the Creation moment was calibrated with precision accurate to 1 in 10^40 in electromagnetic fields. More or less matter, and no galaxies would have formed… no stars, no planets, no us. | The laws of physics must have existed before the universe did. Something Cannot Come From Nothing
The very foundation of the “Big Bang” theory rests on a scientific impossibility: That everything we see, touch, and measure spontaneously emerged from absolute nothingness. But science itself forbids this conclusion.
The First Law of Thermodynamics: One of the most tested and unbreakable laws in all of physics, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only change form. If that is true, then the universe’s energy had to come from somewhere. Nothing cannot create something. Ever.
The Law of Causality: The bedrock of all scientific reasoning, states that every effect has a cause. The universe is an effect. It had a cause. And that cause, by logical and scientific necessity, must exist outside of time, space, and matter, because time, space, and matter did not yet exist.
Scientists themselves could not escape this conclusion. Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose mathematically proved in 1966 that the universe had an absolute beginning, a moment before which there was nothing physical. Hawking spent the rest of his career looking for a way around it. He never found one.
The Big Bang doesn’t answer the hardest question. It just moves it back one step: what caused the Bang?
Science has one word for something that exists outside of time and space, has no cause, and can create everything from nothing.
The Bible has been using that word for 3,400 years: GOD.
| 5 Time Passes Differently Depending on Motion | ||

| 🕰 Instant Maturity: God’s Pattern of CreationTime, Relativity, and the Six DaysOne of the most common objections to a literal six-day creation is the apparent conflict with the universe’s “measured” age of approximately 13.8 billion years. Several physicists, most notably Dr. Gerald Schroeder, have proposed that time dilation since the beginning could allow the six days described in Genesis, measured from the initial reference frame of the universe’s birth, to correspond to billions of years from our present vantage point on Earth. This idea draws on real, well established physics, time genuinely does pass at different rates depending on the observer’s reference frame, a fact confirmed repeatedly by experiments and built into the GPS satellites circling the globe right now.It is worth being honest that this specific application to Genesis remains a debated model rather than settled science. Schroeder’s calculations have drawn both interest and criticism, and there is no scientific consensus on whether his framework is the correct explanation. We present it here as a thoughtful possibility, not proven fact.The 6-Day Framework There is a simpler and arguably more powerful answer the Bible has offered all along: God creates things mature. Below is The Adam Principle:When God formed Adam, He did not create an infant who would need eighteen years to become a grown man. Genesis describes Adam waking up already an adult, capable of speech, reason, and work, on his very first day of existence. The trees in Eden were not seedlings, they bore fruit immediately. Wine made at the wedding in Cana was not aged for years, Jesus made it instantly, and the guests recognized it as excellent, aged wine.If God creates living things with the appearance of maturity from their first moment, there is no reason to assume the universe itself would be any different. A universe created six thousand years ago could have been formed already bearing the marks of age, starlight already mid-journey, geological layers already in place, distances already vast, exactly as Adam was formed, already grown. The “age” we measure in the cosmos may simply be its created maturity, not a record of how long it has actually existed.This does not require Genesis to bend to fit cosmology. It requires us to recognize that a God who can speak a universe into existence is equally capable of speaking it into existence already complete. |
